Helm, Beulah Hobson, 94, homemaker, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 16, 2010. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 19 with a Celebration of Life, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Preceded in death by husbands, Carl Atlee Hobson and Glen Helm, daughter, Sherryl and infant children, Donald, Joy and Jerry Allen. Survivors: sons, Larry Metzger (Patricia) of Lucerne Valley, CA and Ronald Metzger (Joyce) of Wichita; daughters, Vicki Hernandez (Joe) of Victorville, CA and Valerie Bernritter (Mike) of Wichita; brother, Carl Fleming of Wichita; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas, 808 S. Hillside, Wichita, KS, 67211.

I located Aunt Beulah’s Obituary after I searched on Google. I wanted to locate the address for your chosen Hospice group, so we could send our contribution. I know they were there for my Mama, Aunt Mina, and they assist so many with their peaceful passing. When I visited Wichita twelve years ago, only my Father had passed on (7/4/1946) and now only dear Uncle Irvin is left. I am sure they are having a ‘Get Together’ and dancing on the other side. I will always remember my mental picture of Aunt Beulah sitting in our lawn chair casting her fishing line into our lake during her visit that previous Summer. She really enjoyed fishing! All of her brothers and sister were all so spirited, intelligent, and talented in their own special ways, especially my Aunt Beulah!
