Margaret L. Hayes

Hayes, Margaret, retired school teacher and energetic friend of all, died Wednesday, November 27, 2007. She was 94. After growing up in Wichita, she attended Wichita University and began teaching in 1941 in the Wichita public schools. She taught until 1978 at a number of schools and was noted for her enthusiasm and way of encouraging everyone. Her immediate family; parents, sister, Muriel and brother, Earl, all predeceased her. Fairmount United Church of Christ and the children of Wichita were her extended family. Cello was her passion. She played for years with friends, and with the Wichita Symphony for awhile. “Top of the morning to you Margaret”.
