Neil E. Niewald

Niewald, Neil, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014. He was born November 1, 1942 to Gene and Marylee Niewald, in Hutchinson, KS. Neil was a graduate of the business school at the University of Kansas. He had a long career in finance and money management. Neil was a loving and devoted father and husband. He was a quiet, kind, and thoughtful man, a loyal friend, and a patient counselor. He was an avid outdoors-man, enjoyed reading, and was always up for a good card game. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Molly of Phoenix, AZ; son, Matthew (Meghan) of Derby, KS; grandchildren, Evan and Stella. A family memorial is planned for a later date. A memorial has been established with the Wichita Childrens Home, 810 N. Holyoke St., Wichita, KS 67208. Downing Lahey East Mortuary.
