Rena Baxter

Rena Baxter, 95, died peacefully August 11, 2014. She was born December 30, 1918 in Alva, Oklahoma. She and her husband, Bob, left Oklahoma in 1939 and made Wichita their home. She was a wife and mother while being a busy seamstress. Later, she worked outside the home at Rand Publishing in the bindary department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and two brothers, LeRoy and Louis Gatz. Rena is survived by her sister, Clara Tiberghien of Alva, OK; her two children, Bobbie Givens (Jim) and Bill Baxter; four grandchildren, Shannon Alberg (Josh), Shayla Simpson (Robert), B.J. Baxter (Shelley) and Brian Baxter (Sarah); ten great-grandchildren, Avary and Aubrey Alberg, Reese, Rylan, Alex and Sam Simpson, Breckyn and Hudsyn Baxter, Levi and McKenna Baxter; many nieces, nephews and friends.
