Dorothy Caroline Kimpler, 91, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Rosary will be at 5:30 pm, Sunday, December 2, 2018; Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 am, Monday, December 3, 2018, both at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at 2:30 pm at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, KS. Dorothy was born in Lu Verne, IA on September 24, 1927. The daughter of Fred and Emelie (Gronbach) Pergande. She graduated from West High in Waterloo, IA. She married Omer Kimpler in St. Louis, MO. Omer passed away on June 29, 2014, after 62 years of marriage. Her parents, brothers and sisters have all preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, David (Kathy), Robert (Connie), Rick (Brenda) all of Wichita, Gary (Jennifer) of Carthage, NC; grandchildren, Christi Kimpler, Leslie Kimpler, Kyle Kimpler, Kimberly Hill, Brandon Kimpler, Travis Kimpler, Seth Kimpler, Caleb Kimpler; great-grandchildren, Kameron Kimpler, Kyle Kimpler, Landon Kimpler, Isaac Hill, Carson Hill, Owen Kimpler, Ethan Kimpler. She was active in the Holy Cross Altar Society and the Holy Cross PTA while her children were in attendance. After moving to Wichita, she was a member at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. A memorial has been established with St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 N. Ridge Rd., Wichita, KS 67205. Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
