Staab, William R. “Bill”, 86, retired IBEW Local Union 271 electrician, died Saturday, November 29, 2008. Visitation with the family, 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, December 2; service, 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 3, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by wife, Rosina; son, Allen. Survivors: children, David Betzen (Glenda), Sheryl Markwell (Jon) all of Wichita, Wayne Staab of Olathe; brothers and sisters, Gerald Staab (June) of Longmont, CO, Henrietta Karlin and Thelma Karlin (Joe) all of Hays; 7 grandchildren. Memorials to Hospice Care of Kansas, 808 S. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67211 and Cancer Center of Kansas, 818 N. Emporia, S-403, Wichita, KS 67214.
