Rosemary A. (Schmitz) Winter

Winter, Rosemary Ann (Schmitz), 83, of Andale, homemaker, died Sunday, January 18, 2009. Rosemary was born April 20, 1925 in Andale, the daughter of Henry and Mathilda (Hermes) Schmitz Sr. She was united in marriage to Francis J. Winter on February 6, 1945. Throughout her life, Rosemary was active in many Catholic organizations, both in her Andale parish and in the Wichita Diocese. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Albert Henry, brothers and sisters, Norbert Schmitz, Henry Schmitz Jr., Helen Reichenberger and Mildred Beyrle. She is survived by her children Jane (Ed) Brazil of Franklin, TN, Jack (Melinda) of Overland Park, KS, Dale (Mary) of Bellevue, WA, Dan of Goddard, KS, Oran (Debbie) of Mt. Hope, KS, Sam (Luchi) of Tempe, AZ and Mike (Melody) of Burrton, KS; her grandchildren, Joe (Natasha) Brazil of Brentwood, TN, Kim (Steve) Tanner of Franklin, TN, Grant (Leslie) Winter of Lenexa, KS, Kristen (Nic) Rebne of Richmond, VA, Patrice (James) Rousell of Mercer Island, WA, Linette (Shawn) Kister of Nottingham, PA, Carla (John) Monahan of Renton, WA, Chris Winter of San Francisco, CA, Craig Winter of Chandler, AZ, Jeff Winter (Vickie) of Andale, KS, Lisa Winter of Albuquerque, NM, Brandon (Amanda) Winter of Mt. Hope, KS, Samantha Winter of Notre Dame, IN, Rachel and Dalton Winter of Burrton, KS; and eleven great grandchildren.
