Robert Benton Peugh

Peugh, Robert Benton, passed away on January 18, 2015 at the age of 93. Born in Great Bend/Hoisington, Kansas, Bob was a long time Wichita resident. He served in the US Army in WWII and authored a memoir, “Living Through the War Years.” He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a founding partner of Professional Engineering Consultants, Bob was Mechanical Engineer of record on monumental projects throughout Kansas and the Nation. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, June, and son, Mark. He is survived by son, Benton and wife, Dorothy Rissman in Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Diana in California; grandson, Thorin and wife, Kelli Haught in Iowa with his great-granddaughter, Charlotte; granddaughter, Jordon, and husband, Michael Shelley, in New Jersey with his great-granddaughter, Juniper. Bob has spent recent years enjoying travel and other activities with his special companion Joyce Markley and her family. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 16, 2015, at Hillside Christian Church, 8330 East Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67206. A memorial has been established with the Wounded Warrior Project. Downing Lahey East Mortuary.
