Carol L. Thompson. Our beloved Carol was born on July 25, 1951, in Junction City, KS and died on December 1, 2015. First and foremost Carol was the most devoted wife and mother, involved in the family business, serving as a scout leader, and enjoying sailing with her family. Carol was the Senior Sales Manager of Aviation Insurance Sales at AOPA Insurance Services where she enjoyed working for the past 21 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Anna (Gerlecz) Crider and her step-son, Matthew. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ron; her son, Lowell, both of Wichita; her sister, Stephanie Pazur; nephew, Daniel Pazur, both of Norfolk, VA; and her mother-in-law, Jean Thompson of Wichita. There will be a memorial service on Monday, December 7 at 3:00 p.m., Downing & Lahey Mortuary West with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in Carols name with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 300 N. Main St., Suite 300, Wichita, KS 67202 and Victory in the Valley, Inc., 3755 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67218.
