Williamson, Bill, 82, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather on Tuesday night, August 16, 2011 while surrounded by his family, peacefully went to be with his heavenly Father. Rosary and visitation with the family will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 with Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, both at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Burial at Greenwich Cemetery. He was preceded in death by parents, Merley and Lena Williamson and brother, Ed Williamson. Survivors: wife, Betty (Roberts) Williamson; children, Steve (Marta) Williamson, Dave Williamson, Mike (Joan) Williamson, Tim (Deb) Williamson, Randy Williamson, Ann (Lin) Medlin; sisters, Donna Payne and Mary Hamilton; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Ashley, Jason, Jeremiah, Melissa, Drew, Jeff, Karen, Megan, Connor and Makenna, and 5 great-grandchildren. Bill was a wonderful man and loved by so many people. He had a wonderful, full life and will be dearly missed. He loved God and family and shared his faith by his example. Every day he could be found at Larksfield Place from 3 to around 7 pm. He demonstrated selfless love and total devotion to his wife, Betty (afflicted with severe Alzheimers), visiting her daily, feeding her with patience and care and tucking her in each night with a kiss. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2701 Pattie, Wichita, KS, 67216. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
