Waitt, Jr., George “Dordie”, 80, retired Chairman of the Board CEO of Rose Hill Bank, died Friday, August 17, 2007. Rosary 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 23 and Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 24, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. George was an avid golfer and a 46 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a true inspiration to many of all ages. His banking motto was to treat others as you would want to be treated yourself. Preceded in death by parents, Ileene and George Waitt, Sr., and brother, Frank Robert Waitt. Survivors: wife, Jackie (Kienzle) Waitt; children, Rocky (Barbara) Waitt of Wichita, Chris Waitt of St. Cloud, MN, Pete (Susan) Waitt of Derby, KS and Melissa Waitt of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Colin, Devin and Graham, Andy and Katy. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Rose Hill Senior Center, 217 E. Silknitter, Rose Hill, KS, 67133. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
