McDonald, Geula M., 99, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011. Born on September 4, 1911, in Arkana, AR, to Eugene and Allie Horne Horton, she grew up in N.W. Arkansas where her father was a teacher, postmaster and store owner. Geula taught school in Arkansas and graduated from X-ray technician school in Springfield, MO. She and son Lowell Richardson came to Wichita in 1945. She was head X-ray technician at Wesley Medical Center for ten years. She married Nathan McDonald of Wichita on August 19, 1954. Geula worked full-time yet served family, the KS Radiological Society, and First Baptist and \Midway Baptist Churches in Wichita. She and Nathan served long in Wichitas Audubon Society, and they enjoyed neighborhood friends and those at Haysville and Oaklawn senior centers. Geula was preceded in death by Nathan, four brothers and a sister. She is survived by sister Pauline Hawkins of Gaithersburg, MD; son Lowell E. (Gail) Richardson of Wichita; daughter Ruby Ellen (Larry) Womacks of Atlanta, KS; grandchildren Pamela (John) Flesher, Jodi Pennington and Todd Womacks all of Wichita; Mark (Michelle) Womacks, of Atlanta, KS; Kirk (Nicci) Womacks of Pevely, MO; and great grandchildren Nate, Will and Jake Flesher; Macy and Noah Pennington; Nicole (Matt) Weimer, and Kyle, Kerstin, Micah, Matthew, Blake, Brady and Cara Womacks.
