Carol Jean Fleischman

Fleischman, Carol Jean, 77, of Wichita, KS, passed away August 18, 2015. Graveside services will be held August 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Carol was born April 19, 1938 in Moline, IL, daughter of the late Eddie C. Batten and the late Mae E. Batten. Carol was a longtime resident in Western Kansas where she and her husband lived while raising two children. They later retired and moved to Blue Eye, MO, where Carol pursued her passion for Arts Crafts. She was especially talented with a paint brush and has left many keepsakes for her friends family to cherish. When her husband, Robert passed away in 2004, she moved to Harlingen, TX for a short time to be near her daughter. She then moved to the Quad Cities until 2012 when she then moved to Wichita, KS to be near her son. Survivors include two children, Mari Grayson and husband Jim, Angleton, TX and John Fleischman and wife Patricia, Wichita, KS.; a sister, Phyllis Metz, East Moline, IL.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Batten and her husband, Robert Fleischman. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Gentiva Hospice, 2622 W.
