Jerauld Jerry Crowell

Jerauld "Jerry" Crowell, 82, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2016. Jerry was a retired letter carrier and an active member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for over 50 years. He had a passion for all sports and outdoor activities. He loved fishing, hunting, skiing, bowling, poker and traveling, but most of all Jerry loved baseball. He was one of the founders of NBC Hap Dumont Youth Baseball and served as National Chairman of the Board of Directors for 25 years. He was a coach to many, a team manager and umpire. For many years, he was elected and served as a Democratic Precinct Committeeman. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Viola Crowell; siblings, Max Crowell, Edward Crowell and Jean Willey; sons, Jerauld "Jay" Crowell and Gordon Crowell. He loved his family. His is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol Collins; children, Vicki Biltz (Mark), Rene West, Lisa Marshall (Rob), Veronica Crowell, Teresa Melendez and Greg Crowell (Brenda); grandchildren, Christopher Biltz, Andrew Biltz, Dailey Crowell, Sydney Crowell, Cecilia Raheb, Max Crowell, Sam Crowell, Dollee Crowell, Oming Crowell, Elizabeth Raheb, Liam Melendez, Kieran Melendez, and 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Stene, Pat Crowell, Donna May, Jim Crowell and Barbara Crowell. Visitation with the Family will be 5-7 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Pathway Church, 2001 N. Maize Rd.
