Irwin, Maye L., born November 14, 1915, age 92, died Thursday, December 6, 2007. Service 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 13, College Hill United Methodist Church Chapel. Interment 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge, KS. She was preceded in death by husband, Eldon Griffith and by her second husband, Eddie Irwin. She is survived by her companion, Richard Ward of Wichita; sisters, Esther Dalke of Wichita and Agnes Goodwin of Emporia, KS; nephews, Greg Dalke of Wichita, Randy Dalke of Des Moines, IA and Gene Goodwin of Emporia, KS; granddaughter, Catherine French (Schmidt) of Wichita; grandson, David French and wife, Sherron of Salina, KS; 5 great-grandchildren of Salina. A memorial has been established with the American Lung Association, 6401 E. Beachy, Wichita, KS, 67206. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
Interment 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge, KS.

God was so good to have Maye be my grandmother, who stood up for me so many times during the days of abuse and darkness that were in my immediate family. She was bold when she needed to be, and I will alway cherish her memory.
