Schafer, Juanita Campbell, 94, died January 24, 2008, in Wichita, KS. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 ~ 7:00 P.M., Thursday, January 29, at Downing Lahey East. Interment will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 30, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1806 N. Oliver. A memorial service will held at 1:30 P.M., Friday in the East Heights United Methodist Church Chapel, 4407 E. Douglas, Wichita. Juanita was born January 14, 1915 in Wichita, to John and Elsie (Hale) Campbell. She was a graduate of East High School and attended Wichita State University where she was a member of Alpha Tau Sigma sorority. She worked many years at Boeing Aircraft, winning several awards over the course of her career. On October 9, 1965, she married Gilbert Schafer in Arkansas City, KS. They enjoyed many happy years together until his death on November 12, 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents, brothers, Dr. Garland Campbell and Gordon Campbell, and niece, Carolyn Campbell. Survivors include one aunt, Opal Moberly of Hesston; step-daughter, Sidonie Yorke of Claremore, OK; granddaughters, Amy Vu, Sarah Yorke, Emily Reid, Carolyn Foster, Rachel Davis and 5 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Barbara, Collin, Heather, Kevin, Rebecca and Steve Campbell, Leslie Gransberry and Melinda Stephenson. She is survived also by many step-nieces and nephews, including Jack and Kay Ann Feiden of Wichita. Memorials have been established with East Heights United Methodist Church and Better Way Ministries P.O. Box 307315, Columbus, OH, 43230.

Sidonie and family, So very sorry to hear of Juanita’s death. She did live a very long time and had a wonderful life. I always think of her as such a soft and gentle lady.
