Willadean Mary Jane Addis, 89, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, in Wichita, KS. Services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 N Greenwich Rd., Wichita, KS 67206. Willadean was born March 5, 1927, on a farm in Offerle, KS, the daughter of Otto and Ellen Kurth. Her resilience and passion for life were shaped by her childhood during the "Dirty Thirties." After her family moved to Wichita, she married William Addis. In addition to being a devoted homemaker, she worked alongside her husband to create and grow a successful small business. She was an accepting and patient mother, wife, and community member, who touched many lives with her generosity and selflessness. Her greatest passions were family, home, church, baking, and caring for animals of all kinds. She was a truly loved and cherished woman who embodied the inclusive spirit of Christ in her everyday life. Willadean is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William in 1997; brother, Otis Kurth; sisters, Avanelle Weiss, Nora Snow, Dolores Hetzel, and Leona Anton; granddaughter Brianna Babst, and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Left to honor Willadean and cherish her memory are her children: Pamela (Mike, former spouse) Morris, Jennifer (Bob) Babst, Tim (Shelley) Addis; grandchildren: Jennifer Morris, Rob (Amy) Babst, Penelope Babst, Alex (Layne) Babst, Abby (Jordan) Bartel, Joel (Angela) Addis, Tate (Laura) Addis, Quinn (Stu) Hall; great grandchildren: Celia, Phoebe, and Anabelle Babst, Vivienne and Genevieve Bartel, and Wilson, Henry, and Oscar Addis.
