Sondergard, Duane E., 78, retired after 40 years as an Aircraft Design Engineer at Raytheon, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006. Service is 11:00 am Saturday, May 6 at Christ Lutheran Church with a 2:30 pm graveside at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Herington, KS. Preceded by his parents, and 7 brothers. Survivors include wife Dorothy; sons; Ronald (Dianne) Sondergard of Herington, KS, Rodney (Kimberly) Sondergard of Bel Aire, KS; daughter; Gwyneth (John) Snow of Park City; KS brother; Alfred Sondergard of Ramona, KS; grandchildren; Marc, Geoffrey and Kevan Snow, Matthew and Sarah Sondergard; great-granddaughter; Isabella Snow; step grandchildren; Jason, Keith and Lisa Day; step great-grandchildren; Shane, Shia, Wyatt, and Jacob Day. Memorials have been established with Christ Lutheran Church, 5356 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67219 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, Kansas 67202. Interment 2:30 P.M., Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, KS.
