Enslinger, Joe E., 85, died Monday, May 3, 2010. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 7, All Saints Catholic Church. Survivors: wife, Esther M. (Depperschmidt) Enslinger; sons, Larry J. Enslinger (Yvette) of Ft. Worth, TX, Gary L. Enslinger (Terrie) of Wichita and Robert J. Enslinger (Peggy) of Elko, NV; grandchildren, Samantha Smith (Eric), Sean Enslinger (Kristi), Nick Enslinger and Cole Enslinger; 5 great-grandchildren. Joe was born April 7, 1925 in Liebenthal, KS. On May 28, 1945, Joe and Esther were married and moved to Wichita. Joe worked for The Coleman Co. for 11 years. He then changed careers, going into the grocery business, eventually purchasing Mitchell-Miller IGA which he owned for the next 17 years. Joe was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Knights of Columbus #4118, 3202 W. 13th, Wichita, KS, 67203.
Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
