Albert, Alice Marie, 75, retired bookkeeper for UAW Local #771, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012. Memorial Service, 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by parents, Anthony J. and Marie B. (Giaretta) Wesely, and husband, Eldred M. Albert. Survivors: daughter, Linda K. Gross of San Antonio, TX; son, David W. Bowlby; grandchildren, Brandon Gross and Angela Velliquette; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Macy; former daughter-in-law, Sherri D. Bowlby. In lieu of flowers, memorials established with St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Alice was a dear and valued friend for many years. Concrete yard geese all over the U.S.A. wear fashions designed & made by ‘Alice Mae’. We were fortunate to own a gift shop that sold the famous yard geese and most of all, those wonderful fashions. No one could come up with a request for a special outfit that she couldn’t design & make. We have missed seeing her on a regular basis since we closed our shop. She brightened our days! To the family of our dear friend and customer, Alice. We were very shocked and saddened to see that she had passed. Always was pleasant and a very devoted wife and friend. She will be missed.
