Vera “Nadine” John, 92, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Visitation with the family, 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 6; Funeral, 10 a.m., Saturday, May 7, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at Halstead (KS) Cemetery. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Blanch Schilling; husband, Jared B. John, and daughter, Janice Kay John. Survivors: children, Jared Steven John (Karen) of Goddard, Kevin Alan John (Debra) of West Valley City, UT; Marilyn S. Winn of Denver, CO; sister, Lois D. Cossman of Goodland; sisters-in-law, Donna Brewster of Atlanta, GA, Lois Langdon of Salt Lake City, UT; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
