Maxine Louise Tilma

Tilma, Maxine Louise, born on February 8, 1922, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clate and Marjorie Bragg; her husband, William Welmers Tilma; son, William Jeffrey Tilma; and son-in-law, Dennis Forbes. Maxine is survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws, Linda Forbes, John and Barbara Bannister, and Guy and Kim Prouty. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Lisa Bannister, Chris Bannister, William Forbes, Melissa Forbes; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family wishes to thank a wonderful group of people from Victoria Gardens of Allen, Texas and American Hospice of Texas that cared for our mother in so many special ways. Even though Maxine suffered from Dementia the last years of her life, there are so many stories of her beautiful smile and her outstretched hands to touch and love someone. There was never a time, even at the end, that Maxine didnt know and love the Lord. One of her favorite scriptures is Psalms 91:2, “This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety: he is my God and I trust him.” Maxine will be forever missed by her family and friends, but we know this is only goodbye for now until we see her again in Heaven. Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2013, from 5-7 P.M.; Celebration of life will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 11, 2013, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
