Richard E. Rich Turner

Turner, Richard E. “Rich,” 83, retired District Manager of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, died Sunday, January 26, 2014. Family will receive friends at 12:00 P.M.; Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M., both Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Downing Lahey East Mortuary. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Lucy; mother, Ruth Bradley; brother, Leo Turner. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Tom) Dolan, Randy Turner, Michele (David) Wheeler, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Chad (Angela) Dolan, Scott (Samantha) Dolan, Megan Wheeler, Max Wheeler; brother, Bill Turner. Rich was born in Ft. Cobb, OK, the son of Boy Turner and Ruth Bradley. He enjoyed golf, gin rummy, fishing, card tricks, and making new friends. A special thank you to the great staff and friends at Larksfield Place and Encompass Hospice. Richard was blessed with many special friends who he considered family.
