William R. Bill Calhoun

William R. “Bill” Calhoun 88, retired owner of Cals Fashions. Bill was born in Marshall, OK September 22, 1927 to Doyle and Lillian Calhoun. He passed away January 26, 2016 in Wichita, KS. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joean Calhoun and longtime friend Alan "Danny" Daniels. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Rex and Kathy Massey, Carrie and Kenny Williams, Brad and Karen Hartronft and Barry Hartronft. Bill was a graduate of Wichita University. He touched many lives through scouting, loved running, enjoyed writing and theater, was an avid reader and a die-hard Shocker fan. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to WSU, Kechi Playhouse, Wichita Public Library, or Parkinsons Foundation. Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Wichita Art Museum. We love you Bill! Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
