Paul Edward Spacil

Paul Edward Spacil, 71, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 in Wichita. Paul retired in 2011 after 42 years of service as a teacher, administrator and adjunct professor in the Wichita Public Schools and Catholic Diocese of Wichita. Up to his passing, he had also served as Credit Union of America Board Chairman. Paul was born in Great Bend, Kansas and raised in Ellinwood, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mildred (Simpson) Spacil; sisters, June I. (Marty) Harshberger and Judith L. Spacil. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Candi (Ruiz); son, Todd of Wichita; brother, Leon (Carole) Spacil of Omaha, NE and sister, Ann Haremza of Larned, KS. Rosary, 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 1; Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., Thursday, February 2, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
