  1. Erick fought long and hard with cancer and I never heard him complain other than to say Cancer Sucks . We will miss him terribly but we know he is in a beautiful place, because he told us that is what he saw, just days before he left us.

  2. In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Erick Riedell, with your passing it will leave a Huge Hole in the Wichita Bicycling Community that will never be filled.

  3. Joann & Bill, words cant express how sorry I am for Ericks passing. He was such a cute kid growing up, handsome young man & then a wonderful dad. The world has lost an amazing man but we gained a beautiful hearted angel.

  4. I never had the privilege of meeting Erick but I knew of you all through Heathers fb. I always had your family in the back of my mind when praying so I could include it. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this tough time.

  5. I love you. You were a spark that came into my life, when I was feeling a bit down. You helped me learn to love records and music, again. You were constantly there whenever I needed to vent about something. You were Uncle Erick to Harrison.
    Life is a funny thing.
Pictures of records on Facebook, introduced us, then I invited you over to hang out.
The connection was immediate, and you became the (slightly) older brother that I never had.
What a wonderful moment in time, to create such a spectacular friendship.
Youll forever be a part of me.
    Thank you.

  6. Erick was such a good and kind man. Taken too soon but Im glad hes not in pain any more. My condolences to his family.

  7. Lisa and boys, Im so sorry. Erick handled life, the good and the bad, with more coolness and grace than one person should ever possess. Everyone was immediately a friend, accept and loved. He was humble, and kind, and awesome. I can honestly say I will never look at my wedding pictures without thinking of Erick and you. I love you so much! I wish I could be there Friday. Know that I will be lifting you all in prayer.

  8. My sincere condolences to the family. I had the privilege of working with this young man for a short time at Cessna. He was so much fun. I remember Erick talking in his radio voice and sharing pictures he had taken around town. What talent he had. There will be so many wonderful memories to remember him by. May he now rest in peace.

  9. We are so sorry for your loss . He found a long hard battle but now is finally at peace with our Lord. God be with his family as they grieve and may they find a peace that only the Lord can provide.

  10. Erick, I never had the privilege of meeting you, but kept you in prayers for a long time as you bravely battled. You must be a very special young man! I know your momma, and oh, how she loved you!!
My greatest hope is that youre now resting in the arms of Jesus and that all is well with your soul. You fought a valiant fight. You are remembered……

  11. Erick was a hard worker, a great father and a wonderful husband. It was my pleasure to work with such a man that had such great ethics. Unfortunately I was not able to meet you face to face but just talking on the phone with you makes me understand how great you were. My prayers go out to your children and wife.

  12. RIP Erick. Erick was such a nice person with a free spirit and a big heart. I am glad to have known you. Heaven gained an angel. May God continue to bless your wife, kids and your wonderful parents.

  13. My first friend at Wichita State University. He kept me coming to class even when it drove me nuts! He took notes for me when I wasnt there. He always made me laugh! We realized we had tons of mutual friends. Once we met at WSU, we started running into each other all of the time. We were never super close, but we always talked, hugged, laughed and had drinks together whenever we ran into each other. Such a wonderful person! I moved from Wichita in late 1998. I hadnt seen him for years and years, but we kept in touch on Facebook. It just isnt the same folks… I regret not being able to see him before he left us. He will always have a place in my heart. He was always one of the good guys! Rest in Peace my friend.

  14. My prayers are with you and your family. May the Lord look over you and help peace to fill your heart. I see your beautiful smile in his picture, Joanne. Sincerely, Joyce Kubanick Hilliard

  15. Joann,
Those of us who remember you from Oliver High School and have enjoyed your exuberance at reunions throughout the years will be struck, I think, to see how much your son reflects that bright spirit in the photo posted with his obituary, which Ive posted on our Class of 1965 Facebook page. Sending you my most heartfelt sympathy.

  16. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son, Erick. I was just re-reading our Class of 1965 50th Year Reunion book several days ago and came upon your sparkling biography. You were always so spirited and happy. That same spirit is reflected in your sons face. I am praying for you and your family. Mary Jane (Porvaznik) Kasprik
