Houston, Roberta M., 91, retired Supervisor of Adult Services for the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services and a founding member of Chapel Hill Fellowship, passed away Wed., Aug. 25, 2010. Born in Abilene, KS, December 14, 1918. Preceded by first husband Warren Pauli, second husband Kenneth O. Houston, and son Richard Houston. Survivors: son Gary E. Houston of Portland, Oregon; daughter Michele Houston-White, (William White); grandson Colin White; daughter in law Carolyn Patterson, all of Wichita. Celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, August 31, 10 am at Chapel Hill Fellowship, 1550 N. Chapel Hill Dr., Wichita, KS. Memorials to: The Lords Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS. To Gary and Mitzi, We send our deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your mother. She was a good friend to Philip when he was in high school. Emily also enjoyed becoming better acquainted with her when she was a social worker for the First Presbyterian Church. At that time Emily was a member of a small group of friends who met regularly for dinner on Friday night. Emily especially appreciated her friendship to Philip. We know how much you will miss her.
