Gordon W. Reichenberger

Gordon W. Reichenberger, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Rosary, 7:30 P.M., Friday, May 8 and Funeral, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 9, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Gordon was born December 9, 1941 in Andale, KS to Edwin and Helen Reichenberger. After graduating from Andale High School, he attended Friends University and later enlisted in the Army. In 1967, Gordon married his wife, Elaine. They moved to Wichita in 1970 and Gordon began working at MBPXL Packing House shortly after. He left the packing house after 13 years and spent the next 26 years working for United Parcel Service, from which he retired as supervisor in 2007. In his retirement, Gordon enjoyed working outdoors, cheering on the KU Jayhawks, and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Helen, and brothers, Allan and El Don. Survived by wife, Elaine; son, Ross Reichenberger; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Sean Richardson; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Doug May of Overland Park, KS; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Brent Holman; daughter, Jill Ward; daughter, Tara Reichenberger of Chicago, IL; daughter, Abby Reichenberger; grandchildren, Kristen and Kally Richardson, Connor and Reece May, Seth, Samantha, Seger and Shane Holman and Levi Ward; sisters, Mary Takacs of Phoenix, AZ and Ruthe Spexarth of Halstead, KS, and brother, Randal Reichenberger of Andale, KS.
