Myron Frederick Beskow

Myron Frederick Beskow, 84, Retired Law Enforcement, died Saturday, May 6, 2017. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 1:30 pm, Friday, May 12, 2017 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Myron married Sandra R. Guffin on November 30, 1963 at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown, SD. He attended Watertown High School, SD State University and SD University. Myron served as Sgt. in the SD Highway patrol for over 20 years and a registered nurse, retiring from Wesley Hospital after 10 years. He loved old cars and was a former member of the Model A club. He also loved gardening, reading and all ball sports. Myron was a Lutheran all his life, had strong religious beliefs and loved religious music. He was a Braille worker for more than 10 years. Myron is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Freida Beskow. Survived by his wife, Sandra; sisters, Marly Clipper, Janis Cummings; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 N. Greenwich Rd., Wichita, KS 67206 and Lutheran Braille Workers, 600 N. Greenwich Rd., Wichita, KS 67206.
