Jeanette Lewis

Lewis, Jeanette, 63, Substitute Special Education Teacher for USD 259, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Rosary will be 6:30 pm Tuesday, September 2, at Downing Lahey East Mortuary with the Mass being 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 3, at All Saints Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Hedden, and her parents Rosella and Bernard Lewis. Survivors: daughter, Tiffany K. (William H.) Duncan; son, Tyler Lewis (Elizabeth) Hedden both of Springfield, MO; brother, Bernard Lewis of Santa Monica, CA; grandchildren, Evelyn Duncan, Will Duncan Dorothy Duncan, Avery Hedden, Katherine Hedden Whitney Hedden. She was a graduate of SE High School in Wichita, KS and graduated from Wichita State University with an education degree. She was a teacher and had a special affinity for the vulnerable, special-needs children, and the elderly. Her life has impacted so many others and her spirit of giving and love for others will be remembered by all who met her.
