McGinty, Leonard E. “Mac”, 79, founder of United Machine Company, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008, of a short illness with pulmonary fibrosis. Memorial service, 1 P.M., Saturday, February 9, West Heights United Methodist Church. An open house will follow from 2-4 P.M. at Rolling Hills Country Club. Survivors: wife, Betty; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Vickie McGinty, Paul and Cathy McGinty all of Wichita; daughter and son-in-law, Terry McGinty and Leon Barish of Austin TX; grandchildren, Melissa and husband, Jace Wilbert, Karissa, Connor, Ryan, and Keira McGinty, Leah and Rachel Barish. In lieu of flowers, memorials established with West Heights United Methodist Church Youth Group, 745 N. Westlink, Wichita, KS 67212 and Inter-Faith Ministries, 829 N. Market, Wichita, KS 67214. Dear McGinty family, I am so sad to hear about Mac’s passing. He was such a great man and I have many, many fond memories of him. He did a lot for me when I was younger and he definitely made a difference in my life. May God be with you all during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
