Jo Ann Estes

Estes, Jo Ann, 85, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015. She was born in Wichita, KS on March 10, 1930. Her parents were Walter B. (Jack) Ash and Gladys Brinker Ash. They preceded her in death as did a brother, Walter B. Ash. After graduation from East High School, she attended the University of Arizona where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She married Bill Estes of Hutchinson, KS on March 31, 1951. She was a member of Junior League of Wichita and a Sunday school teacher and president of the Altar Guild at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, where she and Bill were one of the founding families. She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Ellen (Jay) Daniel of Charlotte, N.C., Mary Estes of Dallas, TX; son, David Estes of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Jordan Bell, Blake Daniel, Collin Daniel, Taylor Daniel, Coe Estes, Kyle Estes, Sarah Estes. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 14, 2015, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
