Galen G.D. Glass
Glass, Galen “G.D.”, 69, retired Wichita Fire Department Captain and Engine House Hobbies employee, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 16, 2010 and the funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 17, 2010, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. G.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Seldon (Cowell) Glass. He is survived by his wife, Sharlet; daughters, Sherry Parsons (Terry), of Valley Center, and Connie Reynard (Leslie), of Newton; grandsons, Heath, Nick, and Ethan Parsons. Memorials have been established with the Kansas Firefighters Museum, 1300 S. Broadway, Wichita, Kansas, 67211, and the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas, 67219.

We just found out that G.D passed sorry to here that he was a very good friend and a good person. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Sharlet and family. Since we moved we kinda lost track But ‘remember for he is just away we all will be with him someday’ He would never let me forget that I played in the band when I was Pregnet with our daughter.
Sharlet, My thoughts have been with you all morning. We know Galen is now in a place where he is his young healthy self again. I feel like I have lost a brother. We had so many great times together.He is always going to be missed. You know I am here for you anytime you need someone to talk to or cry with. Galen has touch our lives in everly aspect.
