Carter, Robert “Jerry”, 56, retired 24-year veteran of the Wichita Police Department, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007. Service, 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 16, Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Joan Carter. Survivors: wife, Svetlana; daughters, Jessica (Jason) Haecker of Haysville, Jara Carter of Wichita; sister, Barbara Carter of Hutchinson. Memorial established with Wedgewood Golf Course, 9007 W. 1st, Halstead, KS 67056. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
