Mary C. Brammer

Brammer, Mary C., passed away May 10, 2013. Born February 2, 1920, she was preceded in death by parents, James and Minnie Armour and brothers Jim and Jack Armour, and her husband of sixty-seven years, Harold I. Brammer. Mary leaves her four children, John Brammer (Nancy), Preston Brammer (Katy), all of Wichita, Katy Graham (Dennis), of Vancouver, WA, and Elizabeth Brammer, of Dallas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren include, Aaron Brammer (Deanna), of Houston, Molly Brammer (children, Holden and Charlotte Mann), of Leawood, KS, Preston Graham (Jenny), (daughter, Callie), of Renton WA, Kristine Graham, of Vancouver, WA, Morgan Brammer, of Wichita, Taylor Brammer (Laura), of Prairie Village, KS, and Marcy Brammer, of Kansas City, MO. Mary was a graduate of East High School and Wichita University where she was a member of the Sorosis Sorority. She spent her entire life in Wichita, a city she loved and gave much of herself to. She served many organizations including the Junior League of Wichita, P.E.O., Wichita Art Museum, Wichita Center for the Arts, Wichita Historical Museum Society, Wichita District Dental Auxillary, Rotary Anns and Witt and Wisdom, among others. Mary and Harold enjoyed memberships in the Wichita Sailing Club, the Wichita Symphony, Botanica, and were actively involved in Plymouth Congregational Church. Together they enthusiastically supported Wichita State University and were very invested in the future of its library. They traveled extensively and enjoyed being with their family and many friends. Mary will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, love of music and dancing, love and devotion to her family, and for her limitless compassion for others. Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Plymouth Congregational Church.
