Curtis, William Arthur, “Bill,” passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Born May 28, 1940 to Arthur and Charlotte Curtis (Muzzal), Bill was a beloved father, husband, son, and brother. He is preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Clarence Brack. Survivors include his wife Carolyn, of Valley Center; son, Wesley, of Wichita; sisters, Melissa Brack-Nech (Terry), of Hoisington, KS and Betty Thompson, of Rocky Ford, CO. Rosary is 6:30 pm Sunday, May 15, and Funeral Mass is 11:00 am, Monday, May 16, both at St. Jude Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to The Lords Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214. Downing and Lahey West Mortuary.

On behalf of the Hoisington High School Cardinals’ Class of 1958 I would like to express our deepest sympathy to Carolyn, Wesley & members of Bill’s family. We were shocked and saddened to hear the news of Bill’s passing. Bill worked with several of us to make our 50th class reunion a memorable one, & we all valued his ideas, suggestions & time spent. We will miss Bill greatly, treasure his memory, and keep Bill & his family in our thoughts & prayers.
