Peters, Kenneth C., 73, retired owner/partner of Scotsman Inn Motels and Peters Brothers Construction Company, passed away Friday, August 29, 2008. Rosary 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 2 and Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 3, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Kenneth was born in Wichita on December 3, 1934 to George and Amelia Peters. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Johanna, children, Daniel (Kathy) Peters of Wichita, Steven (Robin) Peters of Leawood, KS, Mary (Patrick) Bauer and Brian Peters, both of Wichita; grandchildren, Jacob and Kathryn Bauer of Wichita, Kylie and Christopher Peters of Leawood, KS; sister, Betty (Harold) Bauer of Wichita; brothers, Jerry Peters of Wichita and Bill (Candy) Peters of Peck, KS. Kenneth was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Meals on Wheels, 200 S. Walnut, Wichita, KS, 67213 and Catholic Charities, 532 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67214. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
