Charles E Samuels

Samuels, Charles E., 93, retired farmer, went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2013. Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was born on a farm near Valley Center, KS in 1919. Following High School graduation, he was employed as a machinist for the Coleman Company. He served in the European Theater in World War II. After returning from service, he farmed near Valley Center, KS until his retirement in 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and his wife of 66 years, Thelma. Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Bill Wehmueller of Manhattan, KS; daughter, Sarah Hunt of Wichita; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. A memorial has been established with Immanuel Lutheran Church, 909 South Market, Wichita, Kansas, 67211.
