Drumm, Catherine “Kay”, 77, died February 1, 2012. Memorial service will be February 6, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Reformation Lutheran Church. Kay was a registered nurse. She practiced her nursing profession for 53 years. A large part of those years were spent at the Decatur General Hospital as a House Supervisor. Kay is preceded in death by husband, Thomas and grandson, Ryan. She is survived by her children, Kathy Drumm-Chandler of Anchorage, AK, Karen McPhee of Wichita, Kim Coons of Lawrence, KS, John Drumm of Wichita, and David Drumm of Yakutat, AK; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A memorial fund has been established in her name with the Reformation Lutheran Church, 7601 East 13th Street North, Wichita, KS 67206. Tributes to the family may be sent via www.dlwichita.com.

John and family, I am sending my sincere condolences to you. I am so sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. Kay was so inspiring as an older RN practicing her vocation–I admired her for that as I worked in the outpatient department at Galichia Heart Hospital, and she worked in the adjacent Interventional Unit. She was always cheerful, friendly, and competent. I know she has positively touched many lives during her life. She will be missed by many.
