Mary Susan Moore

Mary “Susan” Moore, 53, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Open Arms Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC. Born and raised in Wichita, KS, she was the daughter of Patsy Evans and the late Donald Evans. She attended School of the Magdalen and Kapaun Mt. Carmel. In 2006 the family relocated to Pickens, SC, and has resided there since. Susan was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Greenville, SC. She spent the last 15 years homeschooling her youngest son, and absolutely loved the relationships and experiences that came from that opportunity. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, baking, and traveling around the Eastern United States. She will be remembered for her fun demeanor and the love she showed every member of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Michael; her mother, Patsy Evans of Wichita, KS; brothers, Michael Evans of Lancaster, PA, and John Evans and Greg Evans, both of Wichita, KS; sisters, Carol Cowles of Wichita, KS, and June Weeks of Center Harbor, NH; her children, Jacqueline and Matthew Ehler of Lenexa, KS, Stephen and Jessica Moore of Lawrence, KS, and Brittany Moore and Evan Moore, both of Pickens, SC; and five grandchildren, Ella, Parker, Nolan, Aubree, and Madeline. Rosary will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.; Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., both at Church of the Magdalen with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
