Novascone, Marilyn E., 67, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin; Har El Acres Office Supervisor; independent Mary Kay Consultant; and loving friend to so many, died Friday, August 31, 2012, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Marilyn grew up on the farm near Conway Springs and it was always special to her to be involved with tilling the soil, watching a crop grow and mature to harvest, and running the family business of farming. She was a graduate of both Kansas State University and Baylor University, School of Nursing. Rosary 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 5, 2012, both at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Andover. Marilyn was involved in many organizations and activities including: Cardinal Aires, Junior League, Conway Springs High School, Kansas State University Pan-Hellenic as a member of Alpha Chi Omega, and Agatharians. She also worked as a medical nurse technician, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Har El Acres. She loved watching her kids play golf, traveling, singing with St. Vincent De Pauls choir, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Elaine Lange. She is survived by: husband of 42 years, Jack Novascone; children, Todd (Sarah) Novascone of Washington, D.C., Corey Novascone of Wichita, KS, Jason (Heather) Novascone of Dallas, TX, Molly (Jeremy) Lowden of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Grace Novascone, William Novascone, both of Washington, D.C.; brothers, Stephen (Karen) Lange, Greg (Theresa) Lange, Jeff (Patti) Lange, all of Conway Springs, KS; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
