Scheidt, Jolene Carrie, 61, homemaker, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Memorial Mass 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 at Church of the Resurrection. Jolene was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Margaret (Osgood) Morris. She is survived by her husband, Michael; children Matt Creasman (Natasha), of Wichita, and Alison Shaner, of Shawnee, KS; sisters, Laura Swartz (Don), of Shawnee, KS, and Lera Foster (Hugh), of Louisburg, KS; grandchildren, Devon and Aidan Creasman. Jolene was remarkably sweet. Loved family and all things Irish. She needed a rest, deserved a rest, and finally received one. She was remarkably loved. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Dr. Naomi Shields Humanitarian Fund, 2778 North Webb Road, Wichita, Kansas, 67226. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

Bernice and I have never known a person to carry her cross so long or so bravely. She shared her burden with her family who we all admire and pray for in this time of loss. May Jolene rest in peace with Jesus Christ her Savior.

Mike It is with a heavy heart when I learned of Jolene’s passing. Although I never met her I felt as though I knew her with your admirable descriptions and our conversations. While she will be extremely missed by all – she is now out of pain and at peace. Hold on to all your wonderful memories.
