Geraldine Jane Oldfather

Oldfather, Geraldine Jane “Jeri” OHurd, 90, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Jeri was born in Newton, Kansas on October 23, 1924. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Walter OHurd; her loving husband, Frank; sister, Beverly Teegarden. She was passionate about her family, books, politics, music, sports, and life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by daughters, Jane Blincoe, Nancy (Art) Louvar, Susan Oldfather; son, Michael (Nancy) Oldfather, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Ted (Amy) Blincoe, Geoff (Hilary) Louvar, Lindsay (Matt) Winterburg, Grant (Ashley) Louvar, Nick Oldfather, Graham Oldfather; 4 great-grandchildren. A family burial will be held. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Downing Lahey East Mortuary. A donation in her name to the Evergreen Public Library (2601 N. Arkansas, Wichita, KS 67204) would honor her legacy.
