Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
To the family of Pat Capps: I am very sorry to hear of Pat’s death – I last talked with her in January, 2007, at the time of Lu Kiser’s death. The Curfman family lived in the next block from my family on East 11th in Winfield. Naomi was my age and we were best friends – I was in her wedding. I introduced Naomi and Lu at SC and helped get their courtship going. Pat was a year older and also a very good friend – I usually talked to her on Jan. 5 -Naomi’s birthday, but for some reason this year didn’t call. I’m sorry I missed that chance. We’ve had many long conversations about Naomi’s kids and Pat’s kids and I know she loved and enjoyed all of you so much. Please let me know more about her death. I was at Walter Curfman’s burial at the cemetery and may have talked with some of you. My love and sympathy to the entire family. Please tell Betty hello too. I was very sad to see the obituary of Pat in todays paper. My heart and prayers go out to her family. She was a wonderful person. Always a smile on her face or a kind word spoken. It was truly a delight working with her at Spiegel. She will be missed!
My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you all in this time of great sadness. Claire was one of my dearest friends ever and I still miss her. Atleast they are together now. God bless you all Debby Yarbrough (Lawrence)
Debbie, Jerry and Angie: Your mom was one of the most wonderful ladies I’ve ever met and I hope you know that I truly mean that. She inspired us all with her thoughfulness and the love that she had for her family. If only there were more people like her in this world! My heart aches for your loss and wish you courage and strength to get through this tough time. If you need ANYTHING at all, please let me know. Tell the kids that I am thinking of them also. It has to be tough to lose such a wonderful grandma. Love you all Holli
To the family of Pat Capps, Pat was a wonderful person who worked for several years as my administrative assistant. She was thoughtful, kind and always had a good word for everyone. Through the years I had several secretaries and administrative assistants, but none who was as contentious and capable as Pat. She was very loyal and at times when I would discuss some action or employee who was creating a problem at work, Pat would offer some advise or tell me about a problem the employee had which was not known to me. It helped me as a Division Manager to make more concerned personnel decisions. Pat was direct when she thought I was to harsh and also reminded me on occasion that I needed to take action to eliminate a problem that I was ignoring. I appreciated her as a caring person and also as a very loyal employee and I wanted you know how I felt about her . Sincerely, Jim Shelden Director-Target Business Unit (retired)
