Carol A. Ridder

Carol A. Ridder died peacefully of metastatic ovarian cancer May 15, 2017 at the Catholic Care Center in Wichita, KS. She was born on November 7, 1942 to Fred and Mary Ridder. They preceded her in death, along with her brother, Don Ridder. Her surviving siblings are sister, Theresa (Johnny) Bills; sister, Mary R. Kruse; brother, Rich (Vi) Ridder; sister, Rita Bauer. She has nine nieces and nephews, John-Michael Bills, Christian Bills, Amy Stephens, Brian Kruse, Matt Kruse, Don M. Ridder, Stephanie Ridder, Rachel Bauer, Dani Bauer; and special double cousins, Judy Lashley and Sharon Sanders. Angela Burger is a best friend. Carol was a retired school teacher. She taught over 45 years in her career. The last 43 years of her life she lived in Overland Park, KS. She was proud of her Masters Degree in Religious Education. She was active in her church, taught at Queen of the Holy Rosary School, and belonged to OFS Secular Franciscan Order. Viewing will be from 1:00 8:00 P.M., Sunday, May 21, at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary. Rosary will be at 9:00 A.M., Monday, May 22, 2017; Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 A.M., both at St. Elizabeth Chapel at Catholic Care Center. Burial at 1:00 P.M., at Calvary Cemetery, Wichita, KS.
