Cleo Murney

Murney, Cleo, 88, homemaker, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011. Funeral service 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22 at Mission Chapel Mausoleum, Old Mission Cemetery. Cleo was born July 3, 1923 in Arkansas. She graduated from Oklahoma University and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Cleo soon met Neil Murney and they were married for over 50 years. Neil preceded her in death as did her parents, Nona and Fred Clemons. Cleo has always been interested in our community through her work as a volunteer with the Junior League of Wichita. The Murneys had two special friends, Neena Blandari and W. Paul Smith who helped and cared for them for many years. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS, 67219.
