Lee Copeland, 85, Retired developer and owner of Ultimate Homes, born October 22, 1931, died Sunday, September 3, 2017. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Private Burial. Preceded in death by his parents James and Jennie (Cabeen) Copeland; sister, Lois Meyer; sons-in-law, Roger Ellis, Paul Martin. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol; daughter, Linda Ito Starnes (Bill) of Wichita; granddaughter, Alicia Ito Ford (Tim) of Tulsa, OK; grandsons, David Ito (Missy) of Denver, CO, Jacob Starnes (Christina) of Clearwater, KS, John Starnes (Dawn) of Wichita; step-children, Gayle McCandless, Wayne McCandless, Lisa Ellis Martin; grandsons, Brandon, Austin, Nathan, and Jason Ellis (Sheena), all of Wichita; 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL, 33607.
