Margaret Ann Weigle Saxon
Margaret Ann Weigle Saxon was born in Winfield, Kansas on January 26, 1934 to George Frank Weigle and Ethel Viola Orr. She peacefully passed away on May 16th, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Saxon; brother, Gerald Weigle; and two stepsons. Margaret graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield and received her masters degree from Kansas State. She retired from teaching in Wichita after 23 years. She later became a family counselor for St. Johns Treatment Center. Margaret married Earl Saxon in 1982. This marriage brought 12 stepchildren into her life, adding to the two stepdaughters she already had. Having had no children of her own, Margaret loved and was loved by her large family, always seeing the good in each of them and with her generous spirit would help in any way she could. She is survived by her niece, Georgana (George) Lawson and husband David; nephew, Gerald Edwin (Eddie) Weigle II and wife, Stephanie; along with 11 great nieces and nephews all of Burden, Kansas. She also leaves to mourn her passing her surviving stepchildren, Carol Skewes, Ellen Skewes, Cynthia Saxon, Paul Saxon and wife, Linda, Theresa Saxon, Daniel Saxon, Stephen Saxon and wife, Angie, John Saxon and wife, Kim, Raymond Saxon, Richard Saxon and wife, Kathy, Robert Saxon and wife, Leigh, and Mary Saxon; along with 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 7:00 pm at St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral, 7515 E 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206. Burial and graveside services will be Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at Old Mission Cemetery located at 3424 E 21st Street North, Wichita, Kansas.
