Potter, Evadna Joy, 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, retired legal secretary for Collins, Hughes, Martin, Pringle and Schell and for International Operations for Pizza Hut Inc, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006. Service 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 9, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Born in Jefferson, OK, February 5, 1924 to Ted and Matilda Schuermann. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Mervyn Schuermann. Survivors: husband, Robert G. Potter; son and daughter-in-law, Kendall and Sandie Potter of Wichita; daughters and son-in-law, Rita Shaw and Ladonna and Brad Schraft all of Wichita; grandchildren, Noell Shaw and Mindi Slaughter; great-grandchildren, Taylor Shaw and Riley Slaughter; sister, Leta Weidner of Wichita; special lifelong friend, Otis Chandler. Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202 and the Kansas Humane Society, 4218 SE Blvd, Wichita, KS, 67210

Years ago I worked with Eve at Pizza Hut. She was very kind to me (I was pretty young and dumb at the time) and she was LOTS of fun. I still remember funny things she said and wish I would have kept in touch with her. She always talked about her husband and family – they were obviously the most important things in her life. I’m sure she will be missed.
