Ann Elizabeth Kruse

Ann Elizabeth Kruse 85, retired registered nurse, died Friday, May 18, 2018. Ann was born in Ost (St. Joe), Kansas, January 12, 1933, on the family farm, during a blizzard, to the late Herman and Elizabeth (Thumann) Meiwes. She attended St. Joseph grade school in Ost and graduated from Andale High School in 1951. In 1954, she graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing and went on to work for Via Christi St. Francis Hospital for 25 years. Ann was active in Harvest House, FCE of Sedgwick County and her neighborhood HOA. Survivors: husband, John “Jack” Kruse; daughters, Jan (Bet) Kruse of Belmont, MA, Karen (Mitch) Matlick of Wichita; son, Michael (Denise) Kruse of Frisco, TX; granddaughter, Amy (Jordan) Matlick of Wichita; sister, Sue Dold of Lawrence; sister-in-law, Ann Kruse of Springfield, MO, Mary Jean Kruse of Nashville, TN, along with many nieces and nephews.
